Parent Voice updates
3rd October 2016Beginning our next round of improvements we have
- opened up both sides of the main gates in the morning and afternoon
- Ordered a big sign for EYFS
- Begun to update a who's who on this website, starting with safeguarding
- EAB parent members have redrafted the home/school agreement and submitted to the academy for appraisal

Football news!
29th September 2016The Parks Football Team were in action playing other schools and although not the overall winners of the Cameron Cup, The Parks Football team showed real teamwork and determination this week. Winning 3 games, drawing once and only having one loss. Parent and carer support was fantastic and everyone was proud to play in aide of The Breathe for Cameron Asthma Awareness campaign.

Y6 London Trip
26th September 2016On Friday Y6 visited London for the day. The main themes of the day were British Values and People who shaped Britian. It was a fantastic day and the children had a wonderful time. As soon as we can, we will create a page detailing exactly what they did and learned.

Parent Voice
26th September 2016On Friday 23rd September the academy held its termly Parent Voice. This was the best attended Parent Voice we've ever had, with around 25 parents and carers in attendance. There were passionate and hearthfelt discussions. The minutes from the meeting will go 'live' as soon as all three parent governors have validated them.

London Trip
22nd September 2016Y6 are so excited because tomorrow they will visiting London! They will visit famous places and will learn more about British values. They will also see statues of famous people and ask they question "Why are these people famous? What have they done? Amongst the many things they will do will be to visit Nelson's Column, Buckingham Palace and a tour of the Houses of Parliament.

Proud of Poppy!
15th September 2016At The Parks we are super proud of Poppy this weekend who has worked her socks off and has secured a place at the Humberside Development Academy of Netball! Well done to Poppy and a job well done to everyone who has helped and supported Poppy to achieve this goal!

Charity
22nd July 2016This year the academy has raised over £1000 for charity. We have chosen Hull Children’s University, Breathe for Cameron and British Heart Foundation! What a fantastic achievement!

Transition
22nd July 2016This week the academy had two transition days. This included our new starters. We are so excited about next year already when we will continue our academy school improvements.

Topic in Year 3
22nd July 2016Pupils topic in Y3 finished this week with pupils making fish with clay. Their topic page is brilliant and shows the pride pupils have in their work and how we're making topic so exciting.

Drama Morning
22nd July 2016On Thursday Y3 had a drama morning with Northern Lights Drama. They had a great time exploring shape, movement, feeling and atmosphere.

F1 Graduation
22nd July 2016After the success of Y6 graduation last week, it was the turn of F1 graduation this week. Our youngest collected a certificate and photo to commemorate the occasion. It was a lovely assembly and as ever, it was very well attended by our super parents.

End of year special assemblies
21st July 2016Last Friday the academy held its inaugural awards assembly. We've been planning to do this in our second year of regeneration and, with the support and advice from our very strong Parent Voice, it was a fabulous event.
